Nancy Kaser-Boyd, Ph.D. is a clinical and forensic psychologist. She completed postdoctoral training at the USC Institute of Psychiatry and Law and is board certified in psychological assessment. She is Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at the Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where she teaches Advanced Psychological Assessment, lectures on Violence Risk Assessment, and supervises psychological assessment cases. She serves on psychological expert panels in Los Angeles County (criminal, dependency, competency and delinquency courts) and also serves as an expert in Civil Court matters concerning personality injury. She has been an expert witness on competency to stand trial, not guilty by reason of insanity, and other mental states relevant in criminal court. Dr. Kaser-Boyd has published journal articles and book chapters on trauma disorders, intimate partner violence, neonaticide, not guilty by reason of insanity, and death penalty mitigation. She has provided continuing education seminars on adolescent brain development, trauma and its effects, and a variety of diagnostic conditions. She is co-author with Corine de Ruiter of Forensic Psychological Assessment in Practice: Case Studies.
